On BeWelcome, getting a lot of requests from people who don’t seem to fully understand what the platform is about. Some have asked me to provide housing for weeks or even months and help them to get here as they are unhappy in their country.
Couchsurfing is a bit of a mix—on one hand, you have people who genuinely embrace the concept, but on the other, there are many who just use it for free accommodation.
As for Couchers, I haven’t received many requests there. (10 requests in 2024)
TrustRoots is nice because you can limit your visibility as a host to people within your circle. I’ve had an account there since 2014 but have only hosted once. ( 22 requests in 2024)
Overall, the highest number of requests I receive is through Couchsurfing and during the summer when I am also out of my place.
“Drummer Colin Brittain is also joining the band, which includes original members Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Phoenix and Brad Delson. Brittain has been a songwriter and producer for G Flip, Illenium and One OK Rock.
“The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and the things we created,” Shinoda said in the news release. “We feel really empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energized new music we’ve made together. We’re weaving together the sonic touchpoints we’ve been known for and still exploring new ones.”

Lyrics: Your blades are sharpened with precision Flashing your favorite point of view I know you’re waiting in the distance Just like you always do Just like you always do
Already pulling me in Already under my skin And I know exactly how this ends, I
Let you cut me open Just to watch me bleed Gave up who I am for who you wanted me to be Don’t know why I’m hoping For what I won’t receive Falling for the promise of The emptiness machine The emptiness machine
Going around like a revolver It’s been decided how we lose ‘Cause there’s a fire under the altar I keep on lying to I keep on lying to
Already pulling me in Already under my skin And I know exactly how this ends, I
Let you cut me open Just to watch me bleed Gave up who I am for who you wanted me to be Don’t know why I’m hoping For what I won’t receive Falling for the promise of The emptiness machine The emptiness machine
I only wanted to be part of something I only wanted to be part of, part of I only wanted to be part of something I only wanted to be part of, part of I only wanted to be part of something I only wanted to be part
I let you cut me open Just to watch me bleed Gave up who I am for who you wanted me to be Don’t know why I’m hoping So fucking naive Falling for the promise of The emptiness machine The emptiness machine [I only wanted to be part of something] The emptiness machine [I only wanted to be part of] The emptiness machine
So there’s a lot of good and bad talk going around about the new singer of LINKIN PARK, Emily Armstrong. And I have a lot to say about this.
First off, I am a huge fan of LINKIN PARK from the very beginning, and I know that no one can fill in Chester Bennington‘s shoes or even replace them. Chester will always be a legend among rockstars in the Rock Hall of Fame. He paved a huge road for a lot of rock artists, and so many bands have done so many covers for a lot of his songs, but no one will be as good as him.
However, Mike Shinoda and Chester were brothers and Mike had been in the dark for seven long years after the lose of his brother. Mike and the other members of the band had lot of weight on their shoulders on whether or not to continue LINKIN PARK or end it. That is a heavy burden for them. Mike wants to continue Chester’s Legacy, so let him do it! As fans let’s support him in making this big decision. Yes, they will never sound the same again, but Mike trusts Emily to continue Chester’s Legacy and hold that burden. She is a very talented vocalist, I have seen their performance. If Mike has faith and hope in Emily and the future of linkin Park, we as fans should support her even if she does it in her own style. Like I said I saw the first performance and I thought she killed it. She is a powerful and emotional singer that can move mountains. I hope that one day I can see them live. So let’s stand together as true Linkin Park fans and see what she can do. ROCK ON EMILY ROCK ON CHESTER FROM ABOVE AND ROCK ON LINKIN PARK!!! Also took this picture from a previous persons post cause I love the comparison.
The novels of Murakami Ryū, whom I met in my 20s, were spicy. I felt a strange sense of liberation as I fell in love with his writing style which expressed itself without embellishment. My heart warmed at the sentence, “Not living happily is a sin,” in the work “69.” Oh. That’s right. It’s an important story, but his novels are very racy. That’s why I read them more diligently.
Here are some of the characters: A dentist with supernatural powers met in a high-class brothel in New York, a man with a slutty wife, a Korean female dancer at a topless bar, a woman so beautiful that she’s scary, a married woman the protagonist dated for the first and last time, etc.
Also, there are various foods, from common foods such as mousse chocolate, hot dogs, sardine dishes, shark fin soup, fish milt, truffles, bouillabaisse, Sancho miso soup, duck foie, and Korean dishes called Samgye-tang(삼계탕; 蔘鷄湯), to dishes from world-famous high-class restaurants.
